Plus Size Spring Dresses – challenge accepted!
I’m here to tell you that I hear you, and I know the challenge of finding pretty, feminine plus size Spring dresses that flatter and don’t look like a paper sack!
You need Plus Size Spring Dresses and we are here to put all your anxiety to rest for Spring weddings, brunch with the girls, banquets, church activities and any outing where you simply want to wear a pretty dress.
I mean, who doesn’t love that “I feel pretty” feeling when you walk out in a brand new dress? We want you to feel beautiful and comfortable in your lovely plus size dress.
OK? OK! Let’s talk fit and what’s flattering and what is definitely not!
Flattering fit of your plus size spring dresses depends on your body shape, of course, but a v neck is almost always flattering and draws the eye up to your beautiful smile!
If you’re more modest, go for a scoop neck or a boat neck and add jewelry. T
There are so many beautiful prints this spring, and yes, you can wear a print. The days of solids only if you’re plus size are long gone, my friends.
Purchase colors and prints that make you feel pretty…
and if that’s solids, then do it… but please know you are only limited by you. You also are not limited to wearing a tent! Show off those curves, ladies. Personally, I prefer smaller more subtle prints, but that’s what I’m most comfortable in and the prettiest color on anyone is CONFIDENCE. The same goes for length, whether you like maxis, tea-length or knee-length wear that dress and wear it proudly.
Now, here are my favorite tips on styling your Spring plus size dresses.
Let’s talk about all the accessories that are NOT jewelry first. Shoes, wear a wedge if at all possible. Heels of any height elongate your legs and make those calves look fantastic! Trust me, heels will make you feel fabulously feminine. Even a low heel but for goodness’ sake elongate those lovely legs ladies! Not sure about color? Metal tones – gold, pewter are always a good idea and in general taupe tones go with everything.
Moving on to handbags, please, please, please carry one!
You don’t have to match your shoes as in the days of old, just coordinate with your dress or carry an accent color; have some fun with it. You may be able to tell from my handbag enthusiasm that this is my favorite accessory. I get more compliments on handbags and have so much fun with them! There are many options for style here, whether you like loud and funky, sleek and stylish, or bold color, oversized or super small – whatever the style just do it and make your Spring plus size dress ensemble POP!
Jewelry is always, always the perfect finishing touch. Here you can go as bold as you dare!
If you are wearing a solid dress, I prefer a longer necklace, maybe some gold or silver hoops and a bracelet or two or three.
For prints I usually go with no necklace, depending on the neckline. Some of the prettiest, printed plus size Spring dresses have a v neck and that is where I like a more dainty necklace that enhances, rather than takes away from the print of the fabric. Fat gold hoops are my go-to, as I think they are flattering on everyone, but again, go as bold as you dare!
Here’s to a happy, plus size spring dress loving season!
